Terms of service

These terms explain the basic rules for using formaster.app.

Using formaster.app

You may use formaster.app to open PDFs, add and arrange form fields, save templates on your device, and export completed copies. You are responsible for having the rights and permission needed to use each document, and for checking the result before you share or submit it.

Do not use formaster.app unlawfully, interfere with its operation, or use it to infringe another person’s rights. Do not use the AI features for anything but filling in documents, and do not try to get around credits or limits.

Your documents and AI features

PDFs, answers, signatures, and templates are stored on your device, in this browser. formaster.app does not upload them for ordinary editing, saving, or export.

If you choose to place fields with AI, formaster.app sends a picture of the page and related page information to formaster.app’s server, which passes it to the AI provider formaster.app uses to produce the result. You can hide parts of the page first. formaster.app does not keep what you send. The provider processes the request under its own terms and privacy practices; consider them before sending sensitive documents. AI suggestions can be incomplete or wrong: review every field and every exported document yourself.

Plans and credits

Placing fields with AI and translating a form with AI use credits. Everything else in formaster.app can be used without paying. Every account starts on the Free plan, which gives a small number of credits each month to try the AI with, at the Fast quality only; Basic, Pro and Max are paid subscriptions that give more credits each month, and every quality. The pricing page says how many each plan gives and what each use of the AI costs, and the AI panel shows the cost before you start.

Every request to the AI is paid for in credits when it begins. Placing fields costs credits for each attempt on a page: the AI checks its own work and tries the page again if it is not right, up to 6 attempts, and each retry costs the same as the first attempt. Translating a form costs credits for every 50 labels it has (its questions, choices and guidance), and the requests a batch of labels takes (up to a limit) are part of that batch’s price. If your credits run out, the AI stops and keeps what it had placed so far. If the AI fails before it gives any answer, the credits for that request are given back. Credits fill up again at the start of each calendar month (UTC), or when a yearly plan renews. Credits you do not use do not carry over to the next month (or the next year, on a yearly plan), cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be given to another account.

Basic, Pro and Max are billed by Paddle as recurring subscriptions, each either monthly or yearly, at the price and interval shown before you subscribe, and they renew until you cancel. A yearly plan is paid for once a year and gives one allowance of credits for the whole year, all at once, which fills up again when the plan renews (the pricing page says how many). If Paddle cannot collect a payment, the subscription becomes past due and your plan is off until the payment is sorted out with Paddle. You can cancel at any time from the plans window in formaster.app or through Paddle’s customer portal link in your receipt email. After you cancel, Paddle stops charging you and you keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and then your account goes back to the Free plan. An account has one subscription at a time: to move to a bigger plan, cancel the one you have, and then subscribe to the bigger one. To move to a smaller plan, or between monthly and yearly, wait until the plan you have ends. Paddle’s own terms apply to the payment. Payments are final and are not refunded: the refund policy says so, and says what happens if you cancel.

You use formaster.app with a formaster.app account, which you create by signing in with Google. Your plan and credits belong to the account, so they work on every device where you sign in. If a subscription is not on your account, sign in with the account used at checkout and choose “Already subscribed?” in the plans window with your Paddle subscription ID (sub_) or transaction ID (txn_). You can delete your account from the privacy page. Cancel an active subscription first: deleting the account does not stop Paddle billing you.

Not professional advice

formaster.app is a tool for filling in documents. It does not give legal, tax, medical, or financial advice, and it does not check that the answers you enter are correct, complete, or acceptable to the recipient of a form.

Availability and responsibility

formaster.app is provided as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every PDF, or that an exported document will be accepted by a recipient. Browsers can clear a site’s stored data, so keep your own copies of important documents and export what you need.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, formaster.app is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. These terms apply together with any mandatory rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Changes

These terms and formaster.app’s other policies may be updated as the service changes. The date at the top of each page shows the latest revision, and the next time you visit after a change formaster.app shows a notice that they were updated, until you dismiss it. Please read them from time to time. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply to future use.

If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using formaster.app, delete your account from the privacy policy page, and cancel a subscription as the refund policy describes (a cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and payments are not refunded).
